リチャード・メイは 1987 年に米国国務省に入省。2000 年にメリルリンチ日本証券のコミュニケーションデ ィレクターに就任するため国務省を退省したが、2002 年に復帰。2016 年には上級外交官に昇進した。職業 外交官として日本には 3 度赴任している。ビルマ、ブルガリア、セルビア、コソボ、ケニア、ブラジルの大 使館にも勤務。フルブライト・プログラムを担当する国務省教育文化局(ワシントン DC)での勤務経験も ある。東京、横浜、名古屋、福岡での在住中に、47 都道府県全てを訪れている。 大阪・神戸への着任は、1981 年に文部省英語教育プログラム(JET プログラムの前身)に参加するという非 公式な形ではあるものの、外交キャリアが始まった場所への帰還でもある。ニューヨーク市出身。ニューヨ ーク市長エド・コッチの補佐官を務めたこともある。マサチューセッツ州立大学アマースト校、コロンビア 大学院を卒業している。

Richard Mei joined the U.S. Department of State in 1987. In 2000, he resigned for a brief period to work for Merrill Lynch Japan as their Communications Director and rejoined the State Department in 2002. He was promoted to the Senior Foreign Service in 2016. A career diplomat, he has served in Japan (three times), Burma, Bulgaria, Serbia, Kosovo, Kenya, Brazil, and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (Fulbright program) in Washington, D.C. Besides previously having lived in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, and Fukuoka, he has travelled to all of Japan’s 47 prefectures. Working in Osaka-Kobe marks a return to the region where, as a Mombusho English Fellow (present day Japan Exchange and Teaching Program), his unofficial diplomatic career began in 1981. Richard is a native New Yorker, worked as an Assistant to New York City Mayor Ed Koch, and graduated from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Columbia University.

Studied hospitality management at Les Roches University in Switzerland, the world’s foremast university and has been a hotelier since 1997. He has worked in several international luxury properties including the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Kyoto as Director of Operations in 2013, Ritz-Carlton Osaka as Director of Operations, played a key role in leading the opening of the Ritz-Carlton Bali as the Hotel Manager, and his most recent role at the St. Regis Osaka as the General Manager. Today, as the General Manager of W Osaka, Kondo leads W Osaka with an ambition to create a favored destination for a dynamic mix of locals and global customers to meet, socialize, dine and party together. He spearheads the direction in creating an iconic hotel offering unrivaled bold experiences, breaking the norms of traditional luxury.

日本生まれながらも海外生活が長く、国際的な感覚の持ち主。これまで海外のホテル業界を中心に従事していたが、W大阪開業に向けて帰国。日本で仕事に就くのはW大阪が初めてとなる。W大阪同様、自身もダイバーシティを重んじており、チーム編成は男女、年齢、国籍などが偏らぬように心がけている。これまで経験を重ねてきた営業、ブランド、マーケティングに加え、自身のライフワークとしてCSRを掲げる。社内プロジェクトのリーダーとして、W大阪のCSR活動をエネルギッシュに牽引している。

Eriko leads the hotel's sales and marketing department to achieve the ambition of being an iconic travel destination blending a dynamic mix of locals and global guests, offering unrivaled bold experiences and in leading the market loyalty. Eriko has extensive experience in hospitality and has worked in several internationally renowned hotels and her most recent position in one of the largest real estate companies in Thailand. Living abroad most of her life, Eriko has returned to Japan by joining the pre-opening team of W Osaka. She lives and breathes the vitality of Osaka, as neighboring city, Kyoto was her city of origin until moving abroad at a young age.Apart from her business goals, she is passionate about driving corporate social responsibility projects. At W Osaka, she works as a lead champion of “WA – We Act to build a better world” committee. Eriko is committed to and values diversity in making equal rights for all gender, age, culture and implements initiatives to support committee goals and increase educational opportunities.

From the 2nd grade of elementary school, she went alone and studied abroad in China, Canada, Mexico, and Spain . After the Great East Japan Earthquake, she returned to Japan and enrolled in the School of International Liberal Studies at Waseda University. After graduating, she joined Johnson & Johnson, where she was in charge of digital marketing. Then moved to an organizational development consulting firm, where she led marketing as CMO while promoting public relations and brand consulting. In 2022, she founded HI corporation to realize her dream of "melting the boundaries of society". Also she was selected as one of the "100 Faces of the Year" in Forbes JAPAN 2021.

Keiko is a seasoned marketing expert bringing various marketing experience at IT companies including Uber, Google, Amazon and NTT Docomo. Most recently, she was the Director, Franchise Development & Marketing at The Walt Disney Company. Keiko has been an ardent promoter of female empowerment. At Google, Uber, and Disney she led female employee communities.

大阪・堺市出身。3人の子ども（長男19歳、次男17歳、長女15歳）を育てるワーキングマザー。大学時代から独学で学んだという堪能な英語を活かして、航空会社などに従事した後、人事の分野に携わり15年のキャリアを持つ。現在は、JWマリオット・ホテル奈良の人事部長として、様々な国籍の人材の雇用に力を入れている傍ら、マリオット・インターナショナルグループのホテルに託児所を導入するため、日々奔走している。

Born in Sakai City, Osaka, she is a worker and mother of three children (eldest son, 19, second son, 17, and daughter, 15). She has been working in the field of human resources for 15 years after working for an airline company, making use of her fluent English, which she has taught herself since her college days. Currently, as the Human Resources Manager of JW Marriott Hotel Nara, she is focusing on hiring people of various nationalities, and is also working hard to introduce childcare centers in Marriott International Group hotels.

Born and raised in India. Moved to the UK for study and now a British citizen. Worked as a marketing consultant at Omnicom Media Group's European headquarters in London for 9 years. Studied Japanese as a hobby while working then moved to Japan in 2019. After studying Japanese language and culture in Kyoto for a year and a half, she joined MonotaRO Inc. in 2021 and currently works in a strategic position in the overseas division. Born in 1977. Born in Okayama prefecture. After working at World Co., Ltd., a design office, and the Organization for Small & Medium Enterprises and Regional Innovation, he became a freelancer in 2017. Based on his experience in fashion, design, and administrative services, he is active mainly in business production in Osaka, Tokyo, Okayama, and Oita. In April 2021, Saturdays Co., Ltd. was established with the concept of “creating a vibrant economy triggered by play”. In addition, I.G.C., a limited liability company that develops entrepreneur support projects in Oita Prefecture, a brand manager of With Midwife Co., Ltd. that develops support projects for midwives, and a general manager that develops regional revitalization projects in Beppu City. He has various titles such as B-biz LINK Advisor for Beppu City Industrial Collaboration and Collaboration Platform, and is expanding his activities in various fields.
