毎年3月8日は、「国際女性デー(International Women’s Day)」です。1975年、国連によって制定され、現在では世界各国で様々なイベントが行われています。#WHATSHESAID 2023年、女性はいま、何を感じ、何と考え、言葉にするのか。グローバル化が進んだ現代社会において、これまでの社会構造では、生きていくことさえ困難な時代がやってきました。変化を恐れる日本社会の中でも、多様性を認め合える社会をめざして、静かに行動を始めたたくさんの女性たち。自分の力だけでは実現できない未来も、あなたとなら実現できる。彼女たちの視点やセンスは、これからの未来をアップデートしてくれると信じプロジェクトとして歩み続けてきた9年間。生存するために変化し続ける必要があるこれからの時代において必要不可欠とされる外国人活躍のこれからは、私達がみてきたこれまでの9年間と通ずるものがあると信じています。昨年より世界的なホテルグループ Marriott Internationalのライフスタイル・ラグジュアリーホテルであるW大阪とともに作ってきたこのイベント。これから社会を作っていく起業家や実業家、リーダーたちが集まり、それぞれの経験を踏まえながら、グローバルな視点でこれから社会のあり方、創造を考えます。多様な人たちが未来の日本や世界で活躍することをイメージできる、明日をアップデートできる、やってみたい想いや、自分の信じる道を少し後押ししてくれる、そんなきっかけを一緒につくっていきませんか。

International Women’s Day is celebrated every year on March 8. It was established by the United Nations in 1975, and now various events are held around the world. Bringing women and other marginalized groups together we can cultivate more creative solutions and have greater potential for innovation to solve social and world conflicts. Many women have quietly started to take action, aiming for a society that accepts diversity even in a society that fears change. The future that I can’t realize by myself can be realized with you. We have been working as a project for 9 years, believing that their perspectives and senses will update the future. We believe that the future of the active participation of foreigners, which is considered indispensable in the coming era where it is necessary to continue to change in order to survive, will have something in common with what we have seen over the past nine years. This event has been created together with Luxury Lifestyle Hotel, W Osaka, a part of Marriott International, since last year. Entrepreneurs, business people, and leaders who will create society in the future gather to think about how society should be and create it from a global perspective, based on their experiences. Let’s work together to create opportunities for diverse people to imagine how they will play an active role in Japan and the world in the future, to update tomorrow, to give a little boost to their desires and the paths they believe in.
